YOU MADE A DIFFERENCE!

Pentecostal Church of Christ

Dear Ms. Brandon;
On behalf of the women of Pentecostal Church of Christ, we would like to present a Love Gift of $670.00 in gift cards to the women of THI. Our ladies were so excited to get on board with the idea of the gift exchange and rallied together to be of support.

I pray this gift will be able to meet at least some needs of the women at THI. Thank you for this opportunity to give in support of your mission.

In His Service,
Sabrina J. Ellis, DMin.
Pastor, Pentecostal Church of Christ

Welcome to Transitional Housing

For nearly twenty-five years Transitional Housing, Inc. has worked to end the cycle of homelessness by providing homeless women with a safe environment, programs and services that promote self-sufficiency and independence without regard to race, color, national origin, sexual orientation or disability. THI represents the fulfillment of the 1984 vision in the minds of four sisters from the Congregation of St. Joseph on Cleveland’s near Westside. After working for many years in homeless shelters, they realized that they kept seeing the same women cycling through the shelter system. They knew there had to be a way to break this cycle of homelessness that these women were living.

About THI

THI is one of the oldest and still one of the largest transitional housing programs in the United States! It serves between 100-125 women annually and has served over 1,700 women since its doors opened so long ago. In Cleveland, it is the only program of its kind that provides up to two years of supportive services to its clients. It takes a holistic approach by addressing a woman’s EVERY need.

THI provides education, services and support essential to achieving personal and financial independence. All residents participate in a personal development plan that includes both on-site classes and access to community services, employment training, and educational opportunities. Follow up services are provided for those transitioning to their own homes. Transitional Housing remains an integral asset to the Cleveland community, as it builds success and independence to women formerly unable to contribute to their own success, much less the success of the community.

Upon completing THI’s program, these ladies become contributing members to our community and city as a whole! Join us by partnering with these successful women! Together we make Cleveland a great city. Together we transform women’s lives.
