Profile of women residing and participating in programming at THI

•   125 women & children lived at THI during 2008
•   51 women entered THI in 2008
•   20% were age 30 or younger, 58% age 31-50, 22% were age 51-61
•   74% were African American, 22% Caucasian, and 5% were Latina or other racial/ethnic background
•   25% reported a history of domestic violence
•   24% were in recovery for alcohol abuse
•   32% were in recovery for drug abuse
•   20% faced challenges of mental illness
•   65 women and children participated in the follow–up program,106 women successfully participated in
•   THI’s program in 2008
•   70% moved into permanent housing
•   78% achieved stable incomes
•   56% increased their skill levels
